A Note from KTIS
Dear Friend,
Have you ever felt like you were drowning in a sea of troubles … or perhaps just keeping your head above water and another wave of adversity comes? If so, you’re not alone.
I jotted down a few notes from PrayerWorks the other day: a woman is struggling to protect her children from an abusive ex-husband; a family business is failing; a husband and wife have both been unemployed for three years; a young lady faces a lifetime of living with severe pain; a woman’s sister died unexpectedly; a marriage is struggling; and a couple longs for a child but cannot conceive or adopt. These are just some of the requests posted in one day!
The storms of life are raging all around us, which is why the music and Christ-centered teachings of 98.5 KTIS is so important. As Linda recently wrote:
“You are my lifeline. You make my life a little easier. Please keep doing what you have been doing. Years ago I was very suicidal and 98.5 KTIS really helped me get through it. Gave me hope. God bless all of you!”
Every day we offer a lifeline to people being tossed about. We give them something to hold on to and help them connect with Jesus Christ, the One who can calm the seas and help people rise above their circumstances.
Another listener, Jeannie, explained how God has been using KTIS to help her through the storm in her life. She wrote:
“My son passed away from cancer a couple of years ago and the music [on your station] helps me through the rough days when I am missing him the most. Keep up the awesome work!”
But offering a lifeline requires team effort. To ensure that the lifeline remains strong and available to you and so many others in the Twin Cities we need your help. We need to receive $1,750,000 to fulfill the ministry’s commitments.
