Lisa,

I enjoy your wonderful funny comments. It makes my day. Even working for this church gets tough as a maintenance engineer. I have been a listner and supporter of your radio station for several years now and my life has changed so much with knowing God and how He loves us. I get so involved with all th songs that they have a certain message for me each day and they become my prayers for the day. I ask your prayers for my wife who has suffered with cancer twice now but I know prayer is very powerful. Even though we are mixed religions, we are all broithers and sisters of Christ. I read your story and I guess we have all had some problems down road and who knows what else is awaiting us. I do know this that I picture myself someday if I have to spend my remaining life in a nursing home, that KTIS will get me through until Jesus comes. I wish you the best in life and Happy Mother’s Day. Someday I might call you on the air and we can share a story.

God Bless and love and prayers from my wife Janet and myself.

Today is October 15, it is a day set aside to remember. I’m remembering my two baby girls in heaven. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. Tonight there is an event going on all over the country. People everywhere are lighting a candle, and saying a prayer at 7:00 pm in their own time zone, to create a wave of light in rememberance and honor of all the babies lost during and after pregnancy. http://www.october15.com Please encourage someone today that you know who has lost a child.

HI Lisa,
I have a lyric for you I wrote that reminds me of something you just shared on the air about worrying at night in bed. I could tell you some humm dingers but maybe another time. Anyways, wish I had the gift to verbally share my thoughts and feelings in the humble way you do. Hope you realize how much you bless us each day as we go about the routines of life. Hope this lyric blesses you in return.

I Bottle Them
Trevor C. Copyright Feb 2008

Can’t you hear me as I groan?
Can’t you see my pillows soaked?
You rescued me each time before
Lord don’t you love me anymore?

So I toss and turn on my bed
These thoughts churning in my head
And as I cry myself to sleep
Your Spirit comes and says to me ……

Chorus:
I know your tears are sad
So I bottle them
I count each one I do
They are so cold and sad
I bottle them
I’ll make them up to you
Soon….

Precious child don’t you know?
That I died for you long ago
I felt the tears run down my face
Believe me now when I say…..

Chorus:
I know your tears are sad
So I bottle them
I count each one I do
They are so cold and sad
I bottle them
I’ll make them up to you
Soon…

Bridge:
Past heavens gates and it’s bars
I hold them close in this jar
And when you come you’ll be surprised
You’ll thank me for the reasons why

Chorus:
I know your tears are sad
So I bottle them
I count each one I do
They are so cold and sad
I bottle them
I’ll make them up to you
Soon…

Bill Buhmann of Lakeville tragically lost his wife, mother-in-law, and niece when they were killed in a head-on collision last weekend. His need is great and the tragedy that this family suffered is heart breaking. I heard from a friend that KDWB is attempting to make a difference for this family as well. Here is a link to the web site and the cause that I am hoping others rally around. http://www.daveryanshow.com/pages/daveslatest.html?feed=336979&article=6467977 I am in great hope that their needs will be met. Although the loss that this family has suffered is great I pray that they see the love of Christ shine through in these dark hours. Also the 17 year old boy that was also involved in the crash is in critical condition and needs prayer for his recovery. Thank you Everyone for your help.

Friends,

As we celebrate this Christmas season I begin to think of the tradition that has been passed on for 2010 years. WOW!, all these years later and we are still celebrating the birth of Jesus, or are we? I worry about our great nation and where the non-believers may take us. At Rachael’s school they celebrate the snowflake and the great snowman. Christmas has been ripped out. The new common greeting at most stores is Happy Holidays. Christmas has been ripped out. At my work the Christmas party is now just a employee party sometime in January. Christmas has been ripped out. I am certain that many of you can name your own situation where yes, Christmas has been ripped out. I am fed up! I will not say Happy Holidays ever again!

Many years ago, while employed at Radio Shack, I was brain washed into thinking that it was politically correct to say Happy Holidays. Now I am offended that it’s not politically correct to say Merry Christmas. Jesus/Christmas is the reason for the season, not a present exchange, a Holiday vacation, store door buster deals or Santa Clause. Why do the offended persons still take Christmas day off with pay?

The non-believers keep taking just a little bit at a time. The pledge of allegiance was removed from school when I was in 6th grade. Crosses and every mention of God have been removed from most government and state buildings. My work, Menasha packaging just rolled out an insurance plan for domestic partnership couples of the same sex. The fact of the matter is, the groups that are trying to strip the words In God we trust off the American currency are small. But they are persistent, they keep pushing and taking what they can a very small amount at a time. Look at what they have now. Why has America become a nation that doesn’t want to offend anyone? We are only offending God.

I have removed my blinders; I refuse to give into culture and the way of the world. We need to take back what the non-believers have been taking very slowly over the course of many years. We can no longer sit quietly and say, “I can’t change anything, there is nothing I can do about it.” It starts NOW!

The question is will you take back what is ours? Or will you give into the way of the world. This Christmas season I challenge everyone to start taking back Christmas. And all it takes is a greeting.

Merry Christmas, God Bless You.

Nick and Rachael Cochrane

P.S. If you agree please forward to others. Thanks!

Hi Lisa-
Here is a great website to help you figure out which candidate is right for you. I found it by googling ‘MN Candidate Picker’ (funny huh?). I hope you find it useful. http://minnesota.publicradio.org/projects/ongoing/select_a_candidate/

Hi Lisa,
Earlier tonight I heard a short blurb from you and I would really love to hear it again or have you send it to me. You were talking about people who have spouses that simply up and left their marriages. I believe you made reference to God healing the broken hearted. You reached me with your comment and I wondered if you could please guide me to the scripture lesson?

Thank you.

Hi, Lisa. Is it possible that the TobyMac concert would be cancelled tonight? I have someone coming from out of town and don’t want her to attempt the roads if there’s no reason. Toby is our favorite so she won’t stay home and miss the concert. :)
